Cake Run


Cake Run is a fun, friendly, social group that caters for all ages and abilities. We encourage the individual to work at their own pace and achieve their own goals whilst being part of a group.  Our qualified leaders are here to encourage and help develop your running style, speed and distance, whilst having fun and boosting your confidence. We enjoy entering races of various distances, often as a group, giving us a great sense of achievement. 
Monday evenings are dedicated to training, including a range of activities, from warming up and team work, to sprinting and stretching.  It's a great opportunity to push your limits and challenge your potential, and we even reward occasionally with lovely homemade cake!

Thursday is our run night with the routes varying in distance, location and terrain. There are great places to run within and surrounding Chichester, which offer a combination of road and trail, hills and flats to suit everyone. 

We always start and finish as a group, which is important to our runners and the leaders are spread throughout the abilities to encourage you and keep you motivated.

In summer the Cake Runners train on Mondays at Oaklands Park and on Thursdays at various locations in and around Chichester meeting at 6.30 for a 6.45pm start. 

In winter they meet at Chichester College Sports Pavilion on Mondays.

All members are encouraged and welcome to run with any and all of the groups and different sessions with different leaders.
