Please remember the class is open to everyone and please register your interest directly with Graham Woodward via gwoodward7@gmail.com.

Forthcoming XC Championships

A reminder please that we require names by next Wednesday (18th December) for entry in the South of England XC Championships at Parliament Hill Fields, Hampstead Heath on Saturday 25th January. In addition, for the Sussex XC Championships at Bexhill on Saturday 4th January when entries require to be in the 28th December. Just respond to John via the CONTACT US icon to join in the fun!

Chichester 10k

The club has been asked to provide volunteers on the day of the Chichester 10k on Sunday 2nd February 2020. The roles they are looking to fill are quite specific, as follows:

Pacers - 35mins, 40 mins, 45 mins, 50 mins, 55 mins and 60 mins. Pacers have to be able to run an evenly paced run and they must be able to comfortably run at quicker than the pace they are pacing at, say 30/45 secs per km. Each pacer will have a free entry to the race.

Winner minders - This role may be attractive to our junior members or those who like to mix with the elite! The role is to ensure that the winners are present for the prize giving and therefore need to be accompanied after they finish until the prize giving.

Clearing the circuit -  As many volunteers as possible are required after the race finishes to remove barriers etc around the circuit. These are not heavy so juniors can do this as well as seniors.

Anyone interested please either discuss with Amanda Godfrey or let John have your name and interested duty(s) and he will pass on your details. Please note that the Rotary Club distribute funds to local organisations who assist this event, and this is an ideal opportunity to potentially boost the “athletics training track” fund.
