It is imperative that everyone attending a club training session wears high-viz/reflective clothing and the Leaders reserve the right to exclude anyone not meeting this requirement. Sundry Items

Chichester Tri Club is running a NSPCC Child Protection and Safeguarding course on Monday 12th February at the Westgate from 7:00 pm to 9.30 pm. They have kindly offered to include anyone from our club who is interested in attending that will be especially welcome to any of our coaches/regular helpers who missed the one arranged by us earlier this year. Please contact Hele Dean direct via helen39dean@yahoo.co.uk for more details and if you are interested in attending.

Excellent trail course set by Mark and Mike yesterday (Thursday) thank you, enjoyed by nearly 30 runners with a good amount being collected for Mel’s “Let Me Be Me” campaign.

Too late now to pre-enter for the WSFRL match at High Barn, North Worthing on Monday 1st January with the race starting at 11:30 am. However, entries are usually available on the day for this popular race. Good luck to our team.

The “Monday” stretch class from 7:45 pm in the Sports Hall of Chichester College returns on Monday 8th January. Please contact Graham Woodward via gwoodward7@gmail.com to book your place. Cost less than £1 per session. All welcome and you do not have to turn up for every session, but we do ask for a one-off payment for the whole course.

Mark Ring is leading the next Run Chichester Beginners’ Group from Monday 15th January 2018 at the Chichester College so please widely publicise the course with relatives, friends and work colleagues. For more details and to sign up contact Mark via markring775389@aol.com.

Dorset Doddlers (google for their website for full details) hold each year a marathon with relay option based at Sturminster Newton. It is held in stunning scenery taking in several local villages. The beauty about this race is that the maximum entry is 400 and afterwards every competitor has a hot meal as part of their entry fee. In 2018 it is on Sunday 6th May with an 8:30 am start so it is an ideal opportunity for a “weekend” away”.

Good luck to everyone running at High Barn on New Year’s Day.

The Committee wishes to thank the whole parkrun team at Chichester and elsewhere for putting on the weekly runs that are so popular emphasised by over 150 turning out at Chichester on a dismal Christmas Day morning. Remember an extra one on Monday 1st January at Oaklands Park (9:00 am).

Happy New Year
