A great trail last Wednesday with 71 attendees on a lovely sunny evening, thank you Ian. Next Wednesday (7th June) Martin Miller will lay a course from Charlton Mill (SU888128) with start time between 4:30 pm and 6:30 pm. From Chichester proceed up to the triangle at Goodwood Horse Racing Course and descend hill down to Charlton Village. At bottom of the hill once reaching the village turn right and park around the green. Enjoy.

Results

The second race of the Lakeside 5k series took place on Wednesday 24th May. Charles Rodmell led our contingent home as first V40 and in ninth place overall with a time of 17.25 followed by Jane Harrop (52nd & 1st V55 – 19.53), Keith Akerman (55th – 20.09), Helen Dean (89th & 1st V60 – 22.20), Kim Nelson (90th & 2nd V50 – 22.28), Andrew Harrop (99th – 23.41) and Sue Baker (128th – 28.21).

Charlie Roe who has represented the club from U13 level and is now at university in the Midlands achieved a fabulous eighth place in the Senior UK Decathlon Championships last weekend. Brilliant effort Charlie, well done.

Lynette Woodward found the conditions for the London Vitality 10k on Bank Holiday Monday humid and extremely crowded at the start. She was rather disappointed with her 54.26.

Update from the Bognor Prom 10k that also running was David Pike clocking 43.12 in 132nd place.

Rebecca Moore won the 5k race in the Oxford/Cambridge Inter-University Match a couple of weeks ago, whilst also competing in this prestigious event was ex-junior of the club Laura Andrews.
