Notice of Club AGM & Agenda

Notice is hereby given that the 35th Annual General Meeting of the Chichester Runners & AC will be held at The Sports Pavilion, Chichester College on Monday 18th November 2019 at 8.00 p.m.

Prior to AGM will be a ballot for the London Marathon club place(s).

AGENDA

1. Welcome by the Chairman.

 2. Apologies for absence.

 3. Approval of the minutes of the 34th Annual General Meeting.

 4. Matters arising.

5. Committee Report from Chairman.

6. Adoption of accounts for 2018/19.

 7. To fix level of membership subscriptions for 2020.

 8. Election of Named Officers (Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer) on Management Committee:

John Betts re-standing for election in role of secretary. Nominations received for Amanda Godfrey and Laura Holder for roles of Chairman and Treasurer respectively.       

 9. Election of Management Committee in addition to Named Officers (maximum six): Vicky Balandis, Jackie Sage and Peter Anderson re-standing for election. Nomination received for Andy Hall to join the Management Committee.   

The Committee has authority to co-opt up to three extra members to the Committee. If elected your new Committee proposes to co-opt Joanne Brown in this capacity.

 10. Appointment of Welfare Officers. Current Committee’s proposals are Amanda Godfrey and Helen Dean.

 11. Nomination for Independent Examiner. Current Committee’s proposal is David Knight.

 12. Any other business, to include discussion on progress with the initiative for an athletics training track facility within the Chichester College grounds.

 Notes:

Nominations for Members of the Management Committee, plus any items to be raised under “Any other business” must be given in writing, including by e-mail, to the Hon. Secretary by Friday 15th November 2019. Nominations for all Members of the Management Committee require a Proposer and Seconder.

The parents/guardians of junior members are invited to attend and contribute to any discussion but only paid-up members over the age of 18 may take part in any vote.

 Apologies for absence, and if required any request for a proxy vote, should be sent to the Hon. Secretary.

 Parking is available (fee 50p) in the Chichester College car park. The entrance to the meeting room is through the Bar area of The Pavilion (adjacent to the Sports Hall on the south side of the campus) to the rear of the building.
