Sussex XC Championships

Following the main Sussex Championships two weeks previously at Bexhill, it was the turn of the top veteran athletes to have their chance of county team and individual medals at a new venue, Coombe Farm near Lancing, on Saturday 19th January 2019. With a strong turnout of 31 runners, Chichester finished a commendable fourth club overall on the day.  Read more

Schools XC

There was a fine turnout of over 50 cross country runners from the West Sussex West area at the Sussex Schools cross country championships at Waterhall, Brighton on Wednesday 16th January 2019 among record fields totalling near 550 of the best schools and colleges from across the county.  Read more

South of England Inter-Counties XC Championships

Six members of Chichester Runners & AC travelled to Oxford on Saturday 8th December 2018 for the first representative match of the cross-country season, the South of England Inter-Counties.  Read more

Sussex XC League - Match 2

In a fixture rearranged at the last minute, Sussex XC runners returned to Stanmer Park, Brighton for the second Sussex league fixture on Saturday 1st December 2018.  Read more

West Sussex West XC Championships

The West Sussex West Schools Cross Country Championships took place on Wednesday 21st November at Bishop Luffa School and it was the hosts who dominated the event by recording a clean sweep of both individual and team titles.  Read more

English Schools XC Championships

In the final national cross-country event of the season, local students from across the West Sussex area played a major part in giving Sussex one of its best all-round team performances in recent years. The organisers of the English Schools Championships at Leeds also deserve credit for allowing the event to go ahead on 18th March with bitterly cold winds and snow forecast for the North of England. In an event to rival the National clubs and inter-counties championships, athletes from 45 counties and areas sent teams to Leeds ensuring that the quality of the races was second to none. Read more

National XC Championships

The 2018 English National Championships returned to Parliament Hill Fields, London on Saturday 24th January 2018 for the first time in three years and witnessed record fields over the 10 races with nearly 6500 runners completing the various courses, over 1000 more than the previous record when the event was last held in London in 2015. The sport of Cross Country running is currently booming both at club and county levels with the recent South of England Championships at Brighton in January giving further proof of its popularity. Read more
