Get Running

“Get Active - Get Running” with Run Chichester and join our next Beginners' Course.

Can I do it?

Keen to start running but do not know where to start?  Whatever your level of fitness you should be able to build from running from nothing to running continuously for 30 minutes in the space of just 8 weeks. All you need to do is make a commitment to run at least 3 times a week and follow a simple run/walk program, which will gradually ease you towards your goal.

Meet new people, lose weight, boost your self-esteem and confidence, get fit and feel good about yourself.  And not forgetting… having fun!!

The last course started on Monday 9th September 2019 at 6:00 pm lasting for 8 weeks, meeting outside the Rugby Club in Oaklands Park, Chichester. Thereafter the sessions will start at 6:30pm each Monday and Friday with the venue change to Chichester College from Monday 30th September 2019.

The group will be supervised by UK Athletics qualified coaches and run leaders. Chichester Runners & A.C. is also part of the Run Together initiative, created by England Athletics to encourage running for fitness and fun as part of a healthy lifestyle.

The course is free, but all participants will be required to join Chichester Runners & A.C. (£25 per year or £15 for over 60s to include 2020 as well) so that on completion of the course participants can continue to run with the clubs in a group to suit their needs.
