Welcome to Chichester Runners and AC Web Site! It is
28 years since a handful of runners met in 1984 to form a running club
starting off as mainly a senior middle distance group but which has
grown over the years to over 300 members in 2011 with activities ranging
from cross country, road running and multi-terrain right through to
indoor sportshall athletics and track and field including sprints,
jumps, throws, hurdles and even the pole vault and hammer. Our age
range is now from the under 11’s right through to an ever increasing
band of veterans with several in their 70’s and even one octogenarian.
Chichester Runners and AC are affiliated to: UK Athletics, AAA, South
of England AA, Sussex County AA, Southern Men's and Women's Athletic
League, McDonald's Young Athletic League for Boys and Girls, Sussex and
Hampshire Cross Country leagues.
Our AimChichester Runners and AC aims to provide a friendly club
atmosphere where all standards of athletes will feel welcome,
from those who wish to keep fit and enjoy the more social side
of belonging to a club, to those who are more competitive and
wish to improve their PBs! We can cater for all.
