What could be better than running in the mud, wind and rain on a bitterly cold day in the middle of winter? Oh, and up and down hills as well. Cross Country is good for all round fitness strengthening core body and cardio performance in an event that all standards can have a go at. It is not definitely not just for the fast runners as some will think – all are welcomed and encouraged. It is a team event which is also nice as you can have a debrief on the way back from a run in a local pub. The best bit of the afternoon for some runners!
Chichester has male and female, senior, veteran and junior teams running in the Sussex and Hampshire X-C Leagues. Also Sussex Championships and National Championships.
