Chichester College Parking
The club’s base is Chichester College and we do a lot of training there, particularly in winter. The College uses ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) cameras to enforce the parking rules and the fines are heavy.
Club members can register their cars here to get 4hrs free parking, outside normal College hours. Or you can use the tablet in the College Sports Centre to get a pass for a single session.
Alternatively, there is free parking at the Westgate Leisure Centre.
Chichester University Parking
The club rents space at the Chichester University Bishop Otter campus on College Lane, for junior training in summer and winter.
The University charges visitors for parking at all times and also enforces the rules with ANPR cameras and hefty fines. The fees are lower after 6pm, so junior training sessions at the University will normally start after 6:15pm. If you plan to watch your youngster training then you will need to pay for parking at the University. Alternatively, park at the Rugby Club and walk over.
The club receives a small number of parking places for coaches and helpers, but these have be registered separately on every visit. If you haven’t registered your car that day then you will need to pay to park. The club will not pay parking fines.
Chichester Rugby Club
The club also does a lot of training on Oaklands Park. Usually meeting outside Chi Rugby Club, at the northern end of the park. We have an arrangement with the Rugby Club that allows Chi Runners members to use the toilets inside.
It can get quite busy around the Rugby Club, particularly on a Monday night in summer. Members meeting for training are asked to make sure they leave room for other users of the pavilion to come and go.
Parking at the Rugby Club is free after 6pm.
